Getting started guide

From install to your first rule: the essential steps to get Querisma running.

1. Installation

We send the installer and your license key by email after the demo call. Double-click the file to run it.

The installer registers Querisma as a Windows service, adds the required firewall rules, and starts listening on two default ports: one for the web UI, one for the address your applications will connect to.

Once installation finishes, the web management UI opens automatically in your browser. On first login, enter the license key sent to your email.

2. First connection

Point your applications' connection string at the address Querisma listens on; Querisma runs as a transparent layer in front of your SQL Server.

In the web UI, define the target SQL Server: address, port and authentication details.

Run the connection test to confirm Querisma can reach the target server.

3. Writing your first rule

Go to the 'Rules' tab in the Web UI and create a 'New Rule'.

Pick a trigger condition (e.g. a specific table or query pattern) and define an action (block, rewrite, alert, or log).

Run the rule in test mode to see its effect before going live, then enable it.
